About the Angel Run

The Angel Run is a community fun raiser - a family event designed to bring members of the extended Medfield community together in a spirit of joy and celebration. It was conceived by friends of Natasha Domeshek, an 8-year-old Medfield third grade student who died in 2002, as a way to celebrate Natasha's spirit during her favorite time of year and around her birthday.

The Angel Run is a 5k+ (3.2 miles) fun run/walk that begins and ends at the Ralph Wheelock Elementary School in Medfield, and traverses a course of level terrain and modest hills on the surrounding roads. (Roads will be closed to vehicular traffic while The Angel Run is in progress.) A shorter, one mile loop will be available for strollers, young children and their adult escorts. Like Boston's famous Jingle Bell Run, The Angel Run is a celebration of the season. Runners and spectators are encouraged to attend in holiday garb. Festive decorations will adorn the course, carolers will entertain runners and spectators alike, and water stations along the route will be events unto themselves. Runners and spectators are invited to attend a post-run party at the Wheelock School.
